liz-- I'm a little slow catching up on my google reader but I loved reading this post. I know the Whirlwind folks a little (Mark anyway) and am studying CIL as part of my dissertation on accessible design. One thing that immediately comes to mind -- does your friend Alexandra know about the Disability Rights and Independent Living Collection at Berkeley? I imagine they would be into having her materials. As a historian I hate the idea of these things being lost. The more future-oriented project you describe here is brilliant too.
